Amy Ross (she/her) is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in Kentucky and nationally certified counselor (NCC). She is a PhD Candidate in the University of Cincinnati Counselor Education and Supervision program, with an emphasis in the substance use cognate. She received her master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a graduate certificate in Addictions Education from Western Kentucky University. Amy balances her work in research, teaching in adjunct roles at WKU and the University of Cincinnati, professional service through Chi Sigma Iota, and her clinical practice with dedication and a sense of humor. Her primary research interests include substance use, professional counselor identity development, and wellness. In clinical practice, Amy currently works with teenage and adult clients focused on addressing trauma, addictions, phase of life concerns, and personal growth. Amy is an EMDR Certified Therapist, and has additional trainings in TF-CBT, Motivational Interviewing, and Gottman Couples Counseling (Level 2).
